Meet the Veterinarians & team of Limestone Valley Animal Hospital in Burlington. We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets.
Dr. Wimmers was introduced to Limestone Valley as a high school student. Following his graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991 and experience at a small animal clinic in Welland, he returned to Limestone Valley in 1996 where he transitioned into ownership and the addition of Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital. He brings his strong surgical skills and passion for high-quality medicine to treating all of his patients. He has built multi-generational bonds with many families in the community who have been bringing their pets to Limestone Valley for years for his compassionate care. His wife and four children often join him in his many extracurricular activities, including music and triathlons.
After moving from England in 2002, Deb started working at Tansley Woods and Limestone Valley in 2004. She brings a strong background in customer service following her years of experience in the cruise line industry. Her organizational skills and attention to detail keep both clinics running smoothly and patients receiving the utmost of care. She has two adult daughters (both of whom worked at Tansley Woods as students) and an entertaining Cock-a-Poo named Samson.
Sonya is no stranger to hard work, having grown up on a dairy farm, successfully managed the family landscaping business and raised a thriving family of seven children. Since joining Limestone Valley and Tansley Woods in 2013 she has enjoyed getting to know our clients and discovering the unique personalities of all the pets. She is excited about applying the new veterinary procedures and medical information she gathers every day through learning by teamwork. When she is not at work she may be found entertaining her grandchildren, chasing after a dozen Rhode Island chickens, and gardening or travelling with her husband.
Hannah’s love for animals has been evident since her childhood days when she could be found playing with kittens in the barn. Not only does she appreciate meeting all our patients but she enjoys getting to know our clients as well. She loves to learn about the world around her and travelling to new places as an extension of her degree in intercultural studies. We appreciate her cheerful help around the clinic!
You will find Bethany at our Limestone Valley hospital assisting us with all of our client and patient care. She applies the skills she has learned in her veterinary clinic and animal shelter experience in Canada and the US. She treats each patient with kindness and care. Her Border Collie Kaiya keeps her busy with lots of walks and exercise and she has a matching black & white cat named Kandice!
Robyn has learned from the best by spending her childhood visiting her father, Dr. Wimmers, in the clinic at Limestone Valley. She now applies that expertise to her work at both Limestone Tansley Woods as she helps care for all the patients that she has come to know and love over the years. Her cheerful smile makes Robyn a delight to work with. She is currently studying Statistics at McMaster University but still finds time to read, travel and play the oboe in the Dundas Valley Orchestra.
